Ban Gioc Waterfall is about 350km far from Hanoi, its location is in Cao Bang province (Northeast of Vietnam). Ban Gioc is the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam and a must-see and worth sightseeing place if you arrange to visit Northern Vietnam. Once being here, standing under the foot of the waterfall, you will feel the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere made by water fog flying up which is a good escape from the heat and noisy city.

Ban Gioc Waterfall is divided into two branches. The large branches have low elevation and flow over limestone steps. The smaller branches are higher up and cascade just like a young girl’s hair. Turquoise is the feature color of the waterfall in autumn. At the foot of Ban Gioc Waterfall is a wide and flat river with green grass and forests covering the banks. Tourists can sit on floating rafts on Quay Son River and observe local people fishing.

How to get to the Ban Gioc Waterfall?

From Hanoi, you can travel by bus, motorbike or private car. If you start early in the morning, you will reach the waterfall later in the afternoon by private car via a good national highway to Cao Bang City from Hanoi, and then several recently upgraded provincial roads, leading through the fantastic countryside to the falls.
